The founder Josh Zapalac was recently named the 2018 Young Entrepreneur of the Year from the SBA Houston District believes the HVAC industry is going the a period of change and has a need to evolve to adapt to the changes impending from generational phases-outs of refridgents most home air conditioning require. Zapalac believes training a labor forces and making the HVAC & Energy Efficient industry attractive to millennials entering the labor force needing proper training.

Proper training which seems to be lacking in the trade schools unable to keep up with the talent demand. Zapalac landed 4th on the list of top 10 and when asked about thoughts about the award responded with “It’s Awesome! We need 12 more of them! It’s an indicator that my team continues to do a great job and it sets the standard moving forward. It shows we’re doing something good” . With EcoZapp focus on making the residential process of replacing an A/C System “Hassle-Free” they plan on bringing a bigger team and needing more tables next year. “ Our ability to continue providing a great & efficient experience for the homeowners who choose us, allows us to add extra value and keep adding it”. Energy Efficiency goes beyond Arctic Blast and Efficient A/C system replacement and services, but also blown in insulation, envelope sealing, air duct improvement and other home services.

Zapalac’s advice to other small business owners would be to join The Entrepreneur’s Organization- “where you learn to learn from experiences not seek advice. Surrounding yourself with great talent and gifted people seem to help the growth of EcoZapp”
